Breathworks XP Summer Program

Improve your technical sports skills and conditioning skills while you train the mind. Breathworks XP” is a 2 month virtual summer program that blends Breathworks group coaching with private sessions. The private sessions are built to deepen and personalise the understanding of Breathworks insights while integrating them into your sport and life. This is a mental skills crash course.   Within 8 weeks the athlete will begin to build mental habits that will help….
  • Enhance and stabilize their attention
  • Shift their brain waves from beta to theta
  • Start to calm their rush
  • Build awareness of the present moment
  • Improve their decision making
  • Improve physically and technically through weekly practices

product description

Sport is 80% mental. Your coaches have said it. And the research backs it up.

Yet when you ask the average athlete how much time they dedicate to mental training, the answer is almost zero.

Why? It is not laziness. It is a gap in knowledge. Most athletes don’t train their mind because nobody has ever taught them how. Coaches teach technique. Trainers build strength. But the mental skills that govern all of it — focus, composure, confidence, resilience — are left largely to chance.

This Summer, that changes.

Breathworks XP — embeds mental training directly inside physical training. Athletes build awareness, concentration, and emotional control while providing footwork drills, shooting repetitions, and conditioning sets. The mental work is not extra. It is the workout.

Research from Stanford’s sports science division supports this: athletes retain mental skills significantly better when those skills are practiced during physical activity rather than in passive, classroom-style settings. The brain forms stronger neural pathways when learning is paired with movement. (Etnier et al., 1997 — Exercise and Cognitive Function)

This is not motivational language.

Our mental skills training such as concentration practices and Breathwork are backed by peer-reviewed research:

Focus and Attention: Mindfulness and attention training significantly improved sustained focus and reduced performance-disrupting distraction in competitive athletes. (Gardner & Moore, 2012 — Mindfulness and Athletic Performance)

Breathwork and Nervous System Regulation: Controlled breathing techniques directly activate the parasympathetic nervous system, lower cortisol levels, and shift brainwave activity from reactive beta states into the focused, flow-prone theta range — the exact state athletes call “being in the zone.” (Zaccaro et al., 2018 — Slow Breathing Effects)

WHO THIS IS FOR

  • All Sports & Athletes ages 12 and up who are ready to unlock their peak potential through mental mastery.

  • Athletes who struggle with focus, pressure, nerves, inconsistency, or getting in “the zone”.

  • Those ready to commit to growth, accountability, and transformation.

What you’ll get:

    • Proven breathing and awareness tools to increase mental resilience, sharpen focus, manage pressure, and bounce back from setbacks.

    • 2 months of Breathworks Program: Designed to deepen your performance and move you into flow present states.

    • 6 private curated sessions.  A dedicated coach working with you every step of the way.

Private Session Curriculum break down…

Session 1: Conscious Breath

When practiced consciously, breath unlocks the brain’s potential and regulates body–mind health. Athletes will learn the power of conscious breathing as the driving force for excellence.

Homework and reflection exercises will be in guiding athletes to bring awareness to breath throughout sport and life so they build the brain muscle to make conscious choices.

Session 2: Focused Mind

Strengthen the muscle of concentration. Align energy, mind and movement into one. One rep, one focus. That’s the way to excellence.

Homework and reflection exercise will be around ingraining learning into the body and mind muscle through repetitive movement. Exercises that increase concentration like foot work drills, and forehand or shooting drills. The athlete will keep their attention on one move, repeated with attention until their energy flows as one.

Session 3: Calm Mind

Build emotional control through breath and body awareness. A calm mind comes from calming the rush in the body.

Homework and reflection exercises will be focused on helping athletes dissolve tension and rush they feel within their body, more consciously, during stressful situations.

Session 4: Aware Mind

A looping mind creates a looping life, predictable, tiring, and uninspired.

To outperform mediocrity, athletes must disrupt the mind’s repetitive cycle and recognize the emotion behind this loop pattern.

Homework and reflection is based around recognizing mistakes, breakthrough into solutions and recover quickly. Their mental recovery time is their competitive edge. Timing, accuracy, and decision-making will improve.

Session 5: Present Mind (Flow)

Flow is presence. Align body, mind, and breathe with the moment. Experience magic and let it unfold.

Homework and reflection is in building sensory awareness of the athlete without being stuck in the mind. Move into harmony with life’s rhythm to unlock peak performance.

Session 6: Limitless Mind

See it. Believe it. Break through limiting beliefs through the power of visualization.

Homework and reflection is in guiding athletes to break mental limits by visualizing success and practicing belief under challenge.

The Bottom Line

Mental toughness, focus, and emotional regulation are stronger predictors of elite athletic performance than physical ability alone in athletes of comparable skill levels. Psychologist and researcher Dr. Jim Loehr, who spent decades studying peak performers, concluded that the mental side of sport is not a supplement to physical training — it is the foundation of it. (Loehr, 1986 — Mental Toughness Training for Sports)

Sport is 80% mental. The research is unambiguous. The gap is not physical talent — it is mental preparation. And for most athletes, that gap goes untrained all summer simply because they never had the tools or the right program to address it.

You now know the tools exist. You now know the science works. The only question is whether you use the summer to build the edge that most athletes never will.
